MSP is a globally recognised framework for best practice programme management. MSP is specifically designed to address the most common challenges that organisations encounter when leading investments in change.

Style and Approach

It is designed to align programmes and projects to organisational strategy and to provide governance. It focuses on the outcomes of benefit, whilst mitigating risks and actively engaging stakeholders.

Audience

There are no prerequisites to attending this course, although ideally you should be working in a project and/or programme environment (e.g. Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, Programme Managers, Business Change Managers, Senior Responsible Owners).

Programme Structure

3 day class room based training, with 20 hours or pre course learning over 4 weeks and 4-6 hours of evening work during the 3 days course. This course includes both MSP examinations, and all course materials to prepare you fully.

Preparing for the workshop

Digital learning: minimum 20 hours over 4 weeks (you must complete your digital learning in full before your live event).

Course Syllabus

This 3 day interactive course provides delegates with a clear understanding of the guidance designed to help maximise value within the achievement of programme and project objectives and the delivery of key stakeholder requirements.

This course includes both examinations, and all course materials to prepare you fully.

Course Learning Outcomes

This is an intensive course and please ensure you can commit the time to it. The structure of your course is:

  • Launch event: 1 hour, where you will be given access to your digital learning
  • Digital learning: minimum 20 hours over 4 weeks (you must complete your digital learning in full before your live event)
  • 3 day course: 21 hours
  • Evening work: 4-6 hours doing mock exam questions
  • Any additional study before your exam
  • Foundation examination (taken in your own time following day 3): multiple choice, 60 questions, 36 correct answers (60%) to pass, 1 hour, closed book
  • Practitioner (taken in your own time following the course): 2.5 hours, open-book (the official MSP manual only), 70 questions, 42 marks to pass (60%).
