APMG Agile Project Management Foundation and Practitioner - Agile PM (R)

Programme Overview & Summary

This course provides you with a thorough grounding in the DSDM Agile Project Management framework. AgilePM offers a practical and repeatable methodology that achieves an ideal balance between the standards, rigour and visibility required for good project management, and the fast-pace, change and empowerment provided by Agile. This course does not cover the Scrum Framework.

Style and Approach

This is an intensive 5 day classroom based course along with evening work. Please ensure you can commit the time to it. This course includes both AgilePM examinations, and all course materials to prepare you fully

Audience

This course is for practising project managers who want and understanding of the DSDM framework, Agile team members looking to become Agile Project Managers and/or Individuals pursuing the AgilePM certification.

Programme Structure

In this intensive course, you will be asked to complete 15-20hrs of pre course digital learning before attending a 5 day onsite course. There will be evening work 8-10 hours completing mock exam questions. At the end of day 2 you will take the Foundation exam lasting 40 mins. On day 5 you will take Practitioner exam lasting 2.5 hours.

Delegates will be asked to complete 15-20hrs of pre course digital learning before attending a 5 day onsite course.

Prerequisite & Requirements

This workshop is for any Network Rail employees aiming to gain APMG certification. Please note: it is a requirement to have passed Foundation before attempting the Practitioner exam.

Course Syllabus

This course provides you with a thorough grounding in the DSDM Agile Project Management framework.

While not required, delegates are encouraged to visit the DSDM Consortium’s website and start to become familiar with the framework, at agilebusiness.org

Course Learning Commitment

This is an intensive course and you are expected to commit 55-60 hours minimum to it – please ensure you can dedicate this time:

  • 5 day course: 35 hours
  • Evening work: 8-10 hours doing mock exam questions
  • Foundation (taken on the afternoon of day 2): multiple choice, 50 questions, 25 correct answers (50%) to pass, 40 minutes, closed book.
  • Practitioner (taken on day 5): 2.5 hours, open-book (the AgilePM manual may be used in the exam only), 4 questions (20 marks per question), 40 marks to pass (50%).
