Programme Overview & Summary

This blended course provides you with the opportunity to look at approaches to managing change and demonstrate you can apply the principles in practice. Four core areas will be explored: change and the organisation, change and the individual, communications and stakeholder engagement and change management in practice.

Together they will enable you to develop a comprehensive change management plan to support effective change within an organisation.

Style and Approach

In this intensive course, you will be asked to complete 20hrs of digital learning over a 4 week period and attend a 3 day onsite course. At the end of the course you will be expected to take an exam.

Audience

No prerequisites are necessary for attendance, although you would benefit from some experience of organisational change prior to attending the course.

Digital Learning, 3 day course, evening work (4-6) hours in total and an exam.

Prerequisite & Requirements

None required for the Foundation course. You must have passed the Foundation exam before attempting the Practitioner exam.

This is a stand alone course.

Other course details:

This course includes both change management examinations, and all course materials to prepare you fully.

Course Learning Commitment

This is an intensive course and please ensure you can commit the time to it. The structure of your course is:

  • Launch event: 1 hour, where you will be given access to your digital learning
  • Digital learning: minimum 20 hours over 4 weeks (you must complete your digital learning in full before your live event)
  • 3 day course: 21 hours
  • Evening work: 4-6 hours doing mock exam questions
  • Any additional study before your exam.

Exams:

  • Foundation (taken on the afternoon of day 1): multiple choice, 50 questions, 25 correct answers (50%) to pass, 40 minutes, closed book
  • Practitioner (taken on day 3): 2.5 hours, open-book (The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook may be used in the exam only), 4 questions (20 marks per question), 40 marks to pass (50%).
